The First Morocco Trip of 2025 April 28th – 4th May

Are you ready to take in the endless desert vistas, high mountain ranges and impossibly blue skies? Join us as we journey through mountains and deserts, spotting incredible wildlife and enjoying breathtaking views.

28th April – Day One

After a short hop over the continent to Morocco, we arrive at the airport and we will be taken to our hotel within the Medina.

This will give us the opportunity to explore and take in the sights, sounds and smells of this bustling neighbourhood.

The Medina is a labyrinth of narrow streets that are home to the famous Souks.

The Medina revolves around Jemaa El Fna Square and the Koutoubia Mosque. We will find somewhere to have dinner and prepare for our journey south to the High Atlas Mountains tomorrow

28th April – Day One

After a short hop over the continent to Morocco, we arrive at the airport and we will be taken to our hotel within the Medina.

This will give us the opportunity to explore and take in the sights, sounds and smells of this bustling neighbourhood.

The Medina is a labyrinth of narrow streets that are home to the famous Souks.

The Medina revolves around Jemaa El Fna Square and the Koutoubia Mosque. We will find somewhere to have dinner and prepare for our journey south to the High Atlas Mountains tomorrow

Day 2 – 29.04.25 ATLAS MOUNTAIN TOUR : OUKAIMEDEN

We will Depart early today for Oukaimeden, at an elevation of 8700 feet, this is a high-altitude plateau in the Atlas Mountains.

The valley is studded with Berber villages and prehistoric rock art sites. Here we will look for endemic lizards such as the Moroccan Ocellated Lizard, Moroccan Rock Lizard, Atlas Day Gecko, and snakes including the famous Vipera monticola.

Day 2 – 29.04.25 ATLAS MOUNTAIN TOUR : OUKAIMEDEN

We are travelling around 400km today as we drive south towards the coastal town of Sidi Ifni.

We will be treated to an ever changing scenery as we travel and we will be making some stops along the way for wildlife spotting.

Day 3 – 30.04.25 MARRAKECH – SIDI IFNI

We are travelling around 400km today as we drive south towards the coastal town of Sidi Ifni.

We will be treated to an ever changing scenery as we travel and we will be making some stops along the way for wildlife spotting.

Day 4 – 01.05.25 SIDI IFNI – GUELMIM

Guelmim is a small town, South East of the beautiful beaches of Sidi Ifni.

With incredible views and diverse herpetofauna, the area is also very rich in birdlife too. 

We will be looking for lizard species and larger snakes, including the Montpellier Snake and Horseshoe Whip Snake.

Birds of note in the area include the Burowing Owl.

Night walks can be done here to seek out the nocturnal residents

Day 4 – 01.05.25 SIDI IFNI – GUELMIM

Guelmim is a small town, South East of the beautiful beaches of Sidi Ifni.

With incredible views and diverse herpetofauna, the area is also very rich in birdlife too. 

We will be looking for lizard species and larger snakes, including the Montpellier Snake and Horseshoe Whip Snake.

Day 4 – 02.05.25 GUELMIM – Plage Blanche

There will be plenty of hiking today as we visit the beautiful white sands of Plage Blanche, and the areas surrounding it.

This area is home to species like the Horned Viper, Saw-scaled Viper, and Spiny-tailed Lizard.

As we drive there, we will make stops to search for wildlife and to take in the surroundings. After arriving at our accommodation and eating dinner, we can head out for a nocturnal tour of the area

Day 4 – 01.05.25 SIDI IFNI – GUELMIM
